About the Role
Are you a relationship builder who loves the travel industry, gets excited about technology, and thrives on helping others succeed?
We are looking for a Relationship Specialist – Trade Engagement to join our team. In this role, you will be the critical bridge in our B2B partner lifecycle, responsible for activating, educating, and nurturing FTG’s global travel trade community. You will ensure that newly acquired and existing travel agents transition smoothly from registration to active, long-term booking partners.
What does the role look like?
Onboard & Activate: Own the end-to-end onboarding journey for new global trade partners, delivering system and portal training to drive high adoption of our Sidekick platform.
Educate & Train: Design and host engaging webinars, workshops, and product updates to keep FTG top of mind and ensure agents understand our AU/NZ destination portfolio.
Engage & Market: Partner with Marketing, Product & Sales to execute targeted B2B email campaigns (EDMs), manage database segmentation, and represent FTG at industry events.
Reactivate & Retain: Proactively monitor partner data to identify quiet agencies and design data-driven re-engagement campaigns to win back dormant business.
Collaborate Globally: Work closely with our Business Development Managers to ensure smooth account handoffs and advocate internally for our trade partners by sharing insights with Product and Tech teams.
About You
You are a proactive, collaborative relationship builder with outstanding public speaking skills and a passion for the tourism sector. You also bring:
Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sectors (e.g., wholesale, retail travel consulting, tourism boards, or trade sales support).
Tech Savvy: Previous experience working with booking portals, B2B software, CRMs, and email marketing platforms.
Training & Presentation Skills: High confidence in hosting engaging webinars, workshops, and delivering presentations to groups.
Data-Driven Mindset: Comfort working with user engagement data, CRM pipelines, and email metrics to guide your proactive outreach.
Key Attributes: Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment.
