Their combined expertise strengthens FTG’s strategic direction as the company continues to expand its position as a trusted leader in Australasian inbound tourism.
Based in Brisbane, Tammy Marshall brings more than 30 years of leadership across tourism, hospitality, transport, and the cruise sector. She has held senior executive positions with some of the industry’s most respected brands, including TFE Hotels, Carnival Australia, AAT Kings, and Contiki, developing a deep understanding of both inbound and outbound markets. Tammy currently serves as Chair of YHA Australia, the country’s largest budget travel accommodation provider with over 70 properties and is also a board director of Railbookers Group, the leading operator of independent rail vacations worldwide. Her extensive network and proven strategic insight make her a highly respected voice in the tourism industry.
Sydney-based Denis Pierce is one of the most experienced leaders in the Australian and New Zealand inbound tourism sector, with over 40 years in the industry. He is widely recognised for his advisory role to Tourism Australia (2011–2021), where he played a pivotal role in building the internationally acclaimed Signature Experiences of Australia program, showcasing the country’s premium and unique visitor experiences. Denis spent nearly two decades as Group Managing Director of ATS Pacific, overseeing operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. He has also served in senior roles with Newmans Tours, was Chair of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), and has contributed to several state and national tourism boards. His depth of experience and industry foresight continue to shape tourism strategies across the region.
